Today's Brief

Achiral AI is a privacy-first collaborative AI platform for businesses, built on enterprise-grade, self-hosted, compliance-ready infrastructure. Today's Brief is a daily briefing your personal EA writes for you, grounded in your connected tools and recent activity. It lives in the Tasks tab of your workspace.

Where to find it

Open your workspace at https://{your-slug}.achiral.ai and click the Tasks tab. Today's Brief is the card at the top of that tab. If your EA has been provisioned and you have at least one connected tool, the card loads when the tab opens.

What it does

  • Summarises what changed since you were last active — new messages, stalled work, follow-ups, overdue items, and anything your EA thinks you should know.
  • Pulls from your connected tools (Slack, Google, HubSpot, Linear, Notion, Jira, Salesforce, and others your organization has installed) — only the activity scoped to you.
  • Flags the three or four things most worth your attention, in priority order.
  • Shows the assistant's name in the footer so you know who wrote it — for example, "Generated by Casey" or "Generated by your EA."

How to use it

Read the brief

  1. Open your workspace and click the Tasks tab. The brief renders at the top of the tab with today's date on the right.
  2. Scan the bullets. Each one references a specific item (a message, a task, a meeting) with enough context to decide what to do next.
  3. Click any linked item in the brief to jump straight to the source — the original Slack thread, the Linear issue, the calendar invite.

Refresh the brief

  1. Click the circular refresh icon in the top-right of the Today's Brief card.
  2. The card shows a loading state while your EA regenerates the brief against the most recent activity.
  3. The new brief replaces the old one once the loading state clears.

Refresh when you just finished something big (a meeting, a merge, a customer call) and want the brief to reflect the new state.

Act on a bullet

Most bullets are paired with a natural next action — reply, approve, respond, schedule, delegate. You can:

  • Click through to the source and act there.
  • Copy the bullet and open a chat with your EA to handle it ("Draft a reply to the first bullet").
  • Switch to the Delegations tab and accept the matching delegation card from there.

What to expect

  • The brief is personal. Only you see your brief. Your teammates each get their own, written by their own EA.
  • It updates when the tab loads. The card shows the most recent cached brief when you open the Tasks tab. Use refresh to force a regeneration.
  • It cites specific items. Expect references to specific tickets, messages, and meetings — not generic summaries. If a bullet lacks specifics, refresh or connect more tools.
  • The brief is bounded by the activity count. The footer shows "Based on N recent activities" — if the number is low, your EA didn't have much to work with.
  • Fallback mode. On the rare occasion where activity retrieval fails, the footer shows "Using fallback mode" and the brief is generic. Refresh a few minutes later.

Common questions

Who wrote this brief — Chiro or my EA?

Your personal EA. Today's Brief is always generated by the user's own EA, not by Chiro. That's why the content is scoped to your work, not to the whole organization. See Meet Chiro and your EA for the full distinction.

Why is my brief empty or says "No brief available"?

Usually one of three reasons: (1) your EA was just provisioned and hasn't built enough memory yet — wait 5–10 minutes and refresh; (2) you haven't connected any tools — connect at least one from Settings → Connectors; (3) you had no recent activity in the last window the brief covers. The footer message will tell you which.

Can I change the time window the brief covers?

Not yet. The brief currently looks at the last 24 hours of activity. A configurable window is on the roadmap.

Can I pin items from the brief?

Not directly from the card. Copy the bullet into a chat with your EA and ask it to create a task — the task then appears in your EA Activity and connected-tool of record.

Does Chiro see what's in my brief?

No. The brief lives in your private conversation with your EA. Chiro doesn't read other assistants' private output.
